Start Small
· Every little bit of physical activity is good for you. Walk or take your bike to school, take the stairs instead of the escalator at the mall, take the dog for a walk at the end of the day. Physical activity doesn't have to be very hard. Just add it up in periods of at least ten minutes throughout the day, and you'll be amazed at how much better you feel.

Celebrate Activity!
· Recognize all the things you're doing in your day that contribute to your level of wellness. Congratulate yourself when you feel that you have achieved even a small step towards being fit!

Have fun with it
· Take a look at what activities appeal to you. Do you like to go dancing with your friends on the weekends, ride your bike or go swimming at your local pool? Choosing things you like to do is one of the best ways to build regular physical activity into your life.

A Balancing Act
· How do you spend your day? Think about what you do in a whole day and try to balance all of your activities. Everything is okay in moderation.

Get Comfortable
· When you are active, make sure your running shoes fit properly and that the clothing suits your activity - and the weather. After all, there's some pretty funky active gear out there!

The Whole Picture
· Besides keeping your body in good shape, what other things can you do to feel good? Whether it's reading more, trying something new or staying in better touch with good friends, is there anything else you can do to improve your lifestyle or habits?

Feel Better
· There are tons of reasons to get fit. You'll have more energy, feel good about the way you look, find it easier to handle stressful situations and feel better about yourself in general.

Lunch Box Surprise!
· Make an effort to include healthy foods in your lunch. You will be surprised how much better you will feel and how much easier it is to stay active when you eat properly!

Be A Leader!
· Take the lead with your friends by suggesting physical activities. Play a game, have a race, dance, conduct a scavenger hunt. Being fit doesn't have to be boring. Brainstorm with your friends about ways that you can keep active, laughing and having fun!!


Family Activity
· Suggest that at least once a week everyone in your family share an activity that will help all of you to be fit. Take turns making suggestions that everyone will enjoy!

Recharge Your Batteries!
· In addition to needing physical activity, your body also needs time to recharge. Make sure that you get the required amount of sleep so that you wake up bright and ready for action!
