TV&ME is an innovative media literacy and healthy life coping skills program created by Concerned Children's Advertisers in partnership with Corus Entertainment Inc. and Shaw Children's Programming Initiative. This initiative brings discussions about real life and television into the classrooms and living rooms of Canadian children and their families. A Canadian program, written by a Canadian educator, TV&ME addresses important issues for youth and provides them with the skills necessary to work towards managing their lives effectively.

TV&ME combines the ingenuity of advertisers and broadcasters with the sincere commitment of companies who truly care about children to produce a unique initiative for students, teachers, parents and communities. Based on the notion of positive prevention, this comprehensive skill-based program focuses on life-skills education and media literacy.

TV&ME for Parents provides parents and caregivers with resources for helping children to make wise media and life choices. The media literacy component of TV&ME for Parents provides tips and tools for helping children to understand, interpret and cope with the media-rich world we live in. The healthy life coping skills component for TV&ME for Parents provides tips and tools for helping children to deal with the tough issues in their lives, such as substance abuse, peer pressure, self-esteem and staying active.

TV&ME for Educators turns television into a powerful teaching tool by packaging the commercial series of Concerned Children's Advertisers into entertaining and educational lesson plans. Education today is a fast paced, constantly evolving and changing phenomenon and it is no simple task to provide credible, Canadian teacher-friendly media literacy and real life problem-solving resources.

TV&ME provides parents with the tools to help their children make the most of their viewing and their life experiences. It provides educators with free Canadian resources and workshops that address current curriculum initiatives. And, most importantly, TV&ME provides Canadian children with the opportunities to explore, discuss, and apply skills which will help them to be healthy, responsible, and media literate young Canadians.
